IWCity/Ekovest: Still a 'Mystery' waiting to be resolved....
IWH-CREC has to make an advance payment of RM500mil in addition to the original deposit of RM741mil, which must be paid within 60 days from the official reinstatement (19 April 2019) of the project (60% stake).
If this first step – of securing the necessary funds – is fulfilled, the next will be for the consortium to get the required regulatory approvals before it can commence works.
IWH-CREC is a 60:40 JV between IWH and state-owned CREC. Tan Sri Lim Kang Hoo holds a 63% stake in IWH, while Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd owns the remaining 37%.
IWH owns a 37.72% stake in IWCity.
However IWCITY and Ekovest have clarify that they are not involved in the revived Bandar Malaysia project.
